CLASSIC BATTEN PANELS

A concealed fastener panel for Commercial/Industrial and residential applications that's excellent for use over solid decking - 12", 16" and 18" coverage.

Installation

CLASSIC BATTEN® panels must be installed over solid decking.

When solid decking is used, it is recommended that a water shedding membrane be installed.

Recommended minimum slope is 2 1/2" in 12". Consult your architect or engineer for requirements of local codes and conditions.

Product Features

  • 1 1/2" high by 1 1/2" wide batten that creates
  • the feeling of original board and batten construction.

  • Precision leveled in line with state-of-the-art Herr/Voss equipment to significantly reduce the effects of oil canning.

  • All panels can be manufactured with or without striations. Striations are recommended.

  • Available in 24-gauge G-90 galvanized steel painted with the unique COLOR LOC® Kynar 500®/Hylar 5000® painting system.

  • Colors: Coastal White, Dark Bronze, Medium Bronze, Beaufort Blue, Hilton Head Green, Patina, Ruby Red, Sahara Tan, Sand Stone, Stone Gray, Classic Copper, Spring Island Green, Onyx Black, Colonial Red and Acrylume.

UL 90 Rating

CLASSIC BATTEN® panels have been awarded the Underwriter's Laboratory UL 90 wind uplift classification.

Class 90 as shown by construction Nos. 282, 309.

Air & Water Infiltration

CLASSIC BATTEN® panels meet the full performance requirements of the ASTM E 283 air infiltration test and the ASTM E 331 water penetration test when applied over a solid substrate. For complete test results, please contact Coastal Metal Service.

Production Notes

  • For panels over forty (40) feet in length, please call Coastal Metal Service.


  • Oil canning is not considered a cause for rejecting panels.
